SSC Stenographer Eligibility
There are some particular requirements that the candidates must fulfil to be eligible to sit for the SSC stenographer entrance. The details are provided below.
Age

Candidates who apply for Stenographer Grade C posts need 18 years, at least whereas the maximum limit is 30 years. The same is changed to 18 and 27 respectively for Stenographer Grade C applicants.

Upper age relaxations are provided to reserved category candidates. For SC and ST the age relaxation is five years, and for OBC candidates, the same is three years.

For PWD candidates from the OBC group, the age relaxation is 13 years, and the same from SC/or ST group is 15 years.
Educational Qualification
The applicants must have got through the 12th standard or equivalent grade from a recognised university or board.
Nationality
To get permitted to register for the entrance, one needs to be
-
An Indian citizen or,
-
A subject of Bhutan or Nepal or,
-
A refugee from Tibet, who headed to India before 1962’s 1st January to settle permanently or,
-
A person with an Indian origin and has come from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.
In the latter three issues, the Indian government must have issued them an eligibility certificate.
SSC Stenographer Selection Process
Every year, a particular pattern is observed by the commission to hire candidates at various grades of the Stenography department. The entire process is briefed below.

Candidates must fill the application form as per their preference of allocation, i.e., Group C or D, and complete the fee processing.

The registered candidates can get their call letters for the online test and appear for the same on the scheduled day.

The individuals who get through the computer-based test need to appear for the typing efficiency assessment, depending on the grade they have applied for. Primarily they are given a dictation, to have typed with a speed of 100 words per minute.

The candidates passing this phase are recruited at the respective departments or ministries.

Is SSC Stenography hard to pass?
The applicants can get through SSC Stenography entrance with proper practice and hard work. They can solve the last papers and sit for mock tests. Also, they can practice increasing their typing speed that helps in the final typing efficiency test.
Are there any penalties for incorrect answers?
Yes, for each incorrect answer, the candidate is penalised for 0.25 marks.
When will the SSC STENOGRAPHY ENTRANCE take place in 2020?
As per the updates released from SSC, the stenography recruitment process for 2020-21 is likely to commence in December 2020. The dates of notification release have been announced by SSC, which will be released on 4th August 2020. The process for years 2019-20 and 2018-19 is yet to be fully covered by the comics.
