SSC MTS 2020 Eligibility
There are some primary guidelines that the candidates must pass to get permission to sit for the MTS entrance. The same is detailed here.
Age

The applicant willing to apply for MTS needs to be 18 years of age, at a minimum. As prescribed by the commission, the maximum limit is 27 years as of 2020's 1st August. Candidates from specific categories, get upper age relaxations. For SC/ST, the relaxation is for 5 years, and the same goes as 3 years for OBC applicants.
Educational Qualification
The candidates must have passed their 10th standard from a reputed or recognized board.
Nationality
To be eligible to sit for the SSC MTS entrance, the aspirant compulsorily should be a citizen of India.
If some applicant falls under the category of a Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee of Indian origin, then he or she is permitted to apply as well.
An Indian person who has come over from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, or Vietnam to settle in India on a permanent note is eligible for application too.
The point to note is, the Indian Government must issue the particular candidate with an eligibility certificate.
In the latter three cases, the Indian Government must have issued them an eligibility certificate.
SSC MTS 2020 Selection Process
Every year, SSC follows a particular pattern and rule to hire candidates through the MTS entrance. The same pattern is structured below.

Candidates must fill the application forms and be done away with the fee payment.

The candidates with proper registration, are eligible to get their call letters for Paper I, from the website of the commission itself.

Applicants further, need to sit for the objective-based Paper I online test and qualify the same.

Successful candidates from stage 1 can have their admit cards for paper II which is done in offline mode and is descriptive.

The ones who successfully clear round two, are given the call for document verified round.

Candidates who complete the process of document verification successfully are finally allotted their respective posts.

SSC MTS 2020 FAQs
Are there any negative marking in Paper I of MTS exam?
Yes, in Paper I, the students are penalized with 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. However, Paper two is qualifying in nature and is the skill assessment of the candidate.
How many attempts can one make to crack the MTS entrance, conducted by SSC?
SSC hasn't mentioned any specific limitation, regarding the number of attempts one can make to crack the MTS entrance. The candidates need to maintain the age guidelines to apply to register for the MTS exam.
Is SSC MTS hard to crack?
SSC MTS is competitive but not very difficult to crack. If one develops the habit of regular practicing and solves sample question sets in plenty, he or she has a high chance of doing good in the finals.
Is there any age relaxation available for the SSC MTS exam?
Yes, there are upper age relaxations available for reserved category candidates who appear for the MST entrance by SSC. For SC/ST, the limit is five years, whereas, for OBC candidates, the figures are three years. Other age relaxations are facilitated too, to different reserved category students.
