Age
Not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2019 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 1983).
Concession In Age
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for S.C. & S.T. candidates and by 3 years for B.C. [non-creamy layer] candidates. In the case of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit is relaxable up to 45 years. No relaxation is applicable to S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates of other States as they shall be treated as general candidates.
Educational Qualification
A candidate must have the following qualifications and candidates must meet such qualifying criteria by the closing date.
Essential- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a recognized University or must be a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or must be a Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or MBA/PGDM (FINANCE) or equivalent post-graduation degree in Finance under 2 (Two) years full-time regular course approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
WBPSC WB Audit and Accounts Service Exam Selection Process
The West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Recruitment Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Question) and (ii) Main Examination (Conventional Type) followed by Personality Test. Candidates selected on the results of the Preliminary Examination will be allowed admission to the Main Examination and those selected on the basis of results of the Main Examination will be called to appear at the Personality Test.
WBPSC WB Audit and Accounts Service Exam Exam Pattern
The Preliminary Examination shall consist of only one paper on “General Studies”. The question paper will be of objective type consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions. The paper will carry 200 marks and will be of 2½ hours duration. The standard of the paper will be of the level of knowledge as expected of a Bachelor of Commerce of a recognized Indian University/Institute. The paper will consist of two (2) groups, viz. Group – A & Group – B. The paper will include questions covering the following fields of knowledge :

Main Examination
The Main Examination will be held in two parts viz. (1) Written Examination and (2) Personality Test.
The Written Examination will consist of (a) Compulsory Papers and (b) Optional Papers.
