Nationality – Aspirants desiring to sit for the VSSC Scientist Engineer exam must be a citizen of Kerala state of India.

Educational Qualification–Educational qualification requirements vary post wise. See the specifications below –

Scientist and Engineer (SD) – Must possess a Ph.D. degree from a well-known University.

Scientist and Engineer (S.C.) – Should hold at least B.E. or B.Tech. In the concerned subject.

Medical Officer (SD) – M.D. in General Medicine from a well-known university or similar M.A. degree in General Medicine is mandatory.

Medical Officer (SC) – MBBS degree or equivalent to it from a well-known university is necessary.

Age – The maximum age limit is 35 years to be worthy of the VSSC Scientist Engineer exam for the post of Scientist/ Engineer-SC and Medical Officer-SC. There is no age barrier for the Scientist/ Engineer-SD and Medical Officer SD post.
