SSC JE 2020 Eligibility

Nationality:

The candidate must be an Indian to apply for the SSC JE exam.

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

(c) a subject of Bhutan, or

(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.

Only male candidates are eligible for the posts of Junior Engineers in the Border Roads Organization (BRO).

 

Educational Qualification: Essential Educational Qualification and experience, etc required for the various posts are as follows:

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute;
or
(a) Three years Diploma in Electrical/ Automobile/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute/ Board; and
(b) Two years experience in Planning/ Execution/ Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD

Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD

Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute

Junior Engineer (Civil), Central Water Power Research Station

Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute.

SSC JE Exam pattern are as follows: The Examination will consist of two Papers i.e.

Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and
