IBPS SO Eligibility
The given below are the basic criteria that a candidate needs to fulfil to meet the eligibility of the IBPS SO exam.
Age

The applicant willing to apply for IBPS SO needs to be 20 years of age, at a minimum. As prescribed by the commission, the maximum limit is 30 years as of 2020 26th November. Candidates from specific categories, get upper age relaxations. For SC/ST, the relaxation is for 5 years, and the same goes as 3 years for OBC applicants.
Education Qualification
IT Officer (Scale I) |
B.Tech in Computer Science/ Applications, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Instrumentation Or Master's degree in the above-mentioned field Or A graduate who has passed DOEACC ‘B’ level |
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) |
4-year degree (graduation) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or corresponding fields. |
Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I) |
Master's degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the graduation level Or, Master's degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the graduation level |
Law Officer (Scale I) |
Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) (The person should be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council) |
HR/ Personnel Officer (Scale I) |
Graduation with 2-years full-time PG degree or diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work, or Labor Law. |
Marketing Officer (Scale I) |
Graduation with a 2-year full-time degree in MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), PGDBA, PGDBM, PGPM, or PGDM with a specialization in Marketing. |
Nationality
The applicants, compulsorily need to be an Indian citizen to apply for the IBPS SO exam. Anyone who is a subject of Nepal or Bhutan can apply as well. However, the Indian Government must issue an eligibility certificate in the latter case.
