IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Overview
Every year, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the CRP RRBs (Regional Rural Banks) Officer Scale I recruitment process across the country. Various RRBs such as Baroda Rajasthan Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank, Himachal Pradesh Gramin Bank, and many others from different states take part in the recruitment process to recruit Scale I Officers or Assistant Managers.
For the year 2020, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced more than 9600 vacancies that will be filled via the CRP RRBs IX. Out of the total seats, 3800+ are Officer Scale I vacancies. The recruitment process will involve three stages, Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Personal Interview. What is the mode of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I exam?
The IBPS RRB Officer Scale I exams will be conducted in online mode only.
Is knowledge of local language mandatory for candidates apply from a particular state?
Yes, the knowledge of the local language of the State or Union Territory (he/she wishes to apply) is mandatory for the candidates who are applying for the posts of Officer Scale I and Office Assistants – (Multipurpose). Candidates who have studied the local language in 8th grade or above 8th grade from a Government approved board would be considered proficient in that language. However, those who do not meet this requirement will be given a time of six months from the date of joining the RRB to acquire proficiency.
Is the exam bilingual?
All the sections except the Hindi and English Language sections are in different regional languages.
Is there a sectional cut-off?
Yes, each candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each section of both Preliminary and Main examination.
