Nationality - All aspirants must be indian.
Age - Assam irrigation department has been define the age is 18-38 Years.

Education Quaification - Assam irrigation department has define the qualification according to the aspirants post.
Subordinate Engineer, Grade I (Civil) - Certificate of Draughtsmanship in Civil or passed the two years course of 3 years Diploma Course in Civil .
Subordinate Engineer, Grade I (Mechanical) - Certificate of Draughtsmanship in Mechanical or passed the two years course of 3 years Diploma Course in Mechanical .
Junior Assistant (HOD Level) - Must have passed Degree Examination in any discipline from a Recognized university or any Examination declared equivalent thereto having Computer knowledge (MS office compulsory).
Junior Assistant (District Level) - Must have passed Degree Examination in any discipline from a Recognized university or any Examination declared equivalent thereto having Computer knowledge(MS office compulsory).
Section Assistant - H.S.S.L.C or equivalent (10+2 Examination) passe.
Power Pump Operator - H.S.L.C or equivalent Examination with ITI Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical or passed H.S.L.C or equivalent examination with minimum 8 years experience as Helper.
Primary Investigator - H.S.S.L.C or equivalent (10+2 Examination) passed in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subject.
Assam Irrigation Department Recruitment Selection Process
Selection Process: OMR based written examination will be held for all category of posts at specified locations to be decided in due course of time. Where ever applicable, the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Computer Proficiency test/Skill test the date and venue of which will be notified later on. Selection of candidates shall be on the basis of OMR based written test and Computer proficiency test (As applicable). There will not be any Viva-Voce in the selection process against any of the posts.

- Mode of examination: Written examination. A computer proficiency test is also conducted.
- Type of questions: Objective type questions are asked in the written examination
- Duration of examination: 02 hours and 30 minutes
- Maximum Marks: 300 questions (250 questions in Written Examination and 50 questions in Computer Proficiency Test)
- Number of questions: 250 questions in written examination and 50 questions in Computer Practical Test
- Marking Scheme: +1 mark is given for every correct answer. No marks are awarded for unattempted questions.
