APSC conducts the CCE (Combined Competitive Exam) to recruit potential candidates for various Civil Services Posts, Assistant Engineer, Finance Services, Junior Information Officer, ADO, Police Service, Law Assistant, Block Development Officer, Research Assistant, and others.
APSC Exam Calendar
APSC releases the employment notification on its official portal with details regarding the dates of the CCE exam, number of vacancies, and other technical specifications. For 2020-21 recruitment process, the official notification was released on 8th September 2020.
APSC Exam Dates
The relevant dates pertaining to the APSC CCE exam are as follows:
- The online application window for APSC CCE exam shall be open from 10th September to 25th October 2020.
- The CCE exam date is not yet notified after postponement due to COVID-19.

APSC Exam Eligibility
Candidates who fulfill the eligibility norms should fill up the application form so as to scrap the chances of rejection. The official notification of APSC specifies the eligibility norms as follows:
- Age: The candidate should not be less than 18 years of age and should not be more than 38 years of age.
- Nationality: Candidate should be a citizen of India in order to be eligible to sit for the exams.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institution.
APSC Exam Pattern
The APSC CCE exam pattern is specified in the official notification and all aspiring candidates should have a complete insight of the exam pattern. The APSC CCE exam comprises of the following stages:
- Prelims exam
- Mains exam
- Personal Interview
The Prelims exam is an objective test and consists of two papers with a total duration of 4 hours. Each paper is marked out of 200 marks. There is also a scheme of negative marking and one-fourth mark is deducted for each wrong answer attempted by the candidate. A candidate needs to attain at least 33% marks to qualify for the Mains exam.
The Mains exam is a descriptive test with Paper A and Paper B and the minimum qualifying marks should be 25% in Paper A and B.
