APSC Exam Eligibility

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility norms should fill up the application form so as to scrap the chances of rejection. The official notification of APSC specifies the eligibility norms as follows:

1. Age: The candidate should not be less than 18 years of age and should not be more than 38 years of age.
2. Nationality: Candidate should be a citizen of India in order to be eligible to sit for the exams.
3. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess graduation or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institution.

APSC Exam Pattern

The APSC CCE exam pattern is specified in the official notification and all aspiring candidates should have a complete insight of the exam pattern. The APSC CCE exam comprises of the following stages:

1. Prelims exam
2. Mains exam
3. Personal Interview

The Prelims exam is an objective test and consists of two papers with a total duration of 4 hours. Each paper is marked out of 200 marks. There is also a scheme of negative marking and one-fourth mark is deducted for each wrong answer attempted by the candidate. A candidate needs to attain at least 33% marks to qualify for the Mains exam.

The Mains exam is a descriptive test with Paper A and Paper B and the minimum qualifying marks should be 25% in Paper A and B.
