Now, students and teachers must be aware of the fact that the IBPS PO Exam id more than just a set of questions. The exam requires a candidate’s overall development to successfully crack this highly competitive exam. Students must possess a high problem-solving speed, high accuracy, and keep honing their skills to crack the exam. While most of the appearing candidates prepare while focusing on knowledge and completing the syllabus, it alone won’t guarantee your success. To successfully clear the IBPS PO preparations, candidates must plan well and look out after every aspect of the process equally.

To help you out with the same, here are 7 tips to crack IBPS PO Exam:

1. Begin with the basics, form a timetable: Once you have a clear idea of the syllabus and pattern of the IBPS PO exam, the next step is to form a timetable of your own. This timetable should entirely revolve around your pattern of sleeping, resting, and playing. The time table needs to be realistic in its approach as there is no point in developing one which you can’t stick to. On the other hand, you should also consider the essential elements of your life before the preparation of such a time table as it should not consume your entire day, either. You can start by formulating a timetable where you can either dedicate 5-6 hours daily or can go up to 9-10 hours of studying daily. It is also important to dedicate more time to the sections and chapters you are weak at. Lastly, your timetable should also be flexible to changes as you move ahead with your IBPS PO preparation.

2. Get a grip at reading: Reading and writing play a very crucial role in the preparation for the IBPS PO exam as the English Language section requires a strong grip over reading and comprehension. Additionally, other sections of the paper, like General Awareness, also require very fluent reading and understanding. While developing your skills around reading English, you can also jot down the new words you come across or the points that you find essential. You could also go with the choice of improving your writing skills simultaneously as the IBPS PO exam features a descriptive English Language section in the second round.

3. Strengthen your basics: Since the IBPS PO exam is a test of both of your theoretical and analytical understanding, it is important to strengthen your basics first. You can start by clearing the concepts around the basics of every topic that is a part of the syllabus. Or, you can start over by finding the theory behind the large formulas needed for the Quantitative Aptitude section of the paper. Moreover, you’ll also come across the need to learn their derivations as well. Similarly, it is very crucial to understand the theory behind the Reasoning Ability section which is a major part of the IBPS PO Exam.

4. Move slowly but consistently: Finishing the syllabus is one thing, and to be able to recall the topics, tips, and tricks during the exam is another. Your IBPS PO preparation can be of no use if you don’t keep a track of your progress and try to practice every topic that you are covering or have already covered. Therefore, you can consider solving previous year’s questions every time you cover an important topic. Timely revision of chapters and taking multiple tests for the topics that you have learned so far plays an important role in cracking the IBPS PO exam.

5. Master the art of time management: One of the most crucial factors behind cracking the competitive bank exams is time management. In these exams, clearing your questions comes secondary, instead, spending the right amount of time on each question is more important. Besides, along with being accurate with your answers, you also need to keep a track of every minute that you spend on answering each and every question as that is the key to finish the entire paper before or in time. Therefore, it is always sensible to practice in a similar fashion where you dedicate a particular amount of time on every question that you come across in the test.

6. Go back and forth with the previous year question papers: A rather simple yet effective tip when it comes to the preparation of almost any examination is to solve the previous years’ papers. It is said so because it often is found that several questions or question types are repeated at regular intervals. So, by keeping an eye on the type of format, you will get to have an idea of the questions that may appear in your paper.

By doing this, you’ll have an idea of your performance in the competitive exam and be able to rectify the problems and work on the weaker areas. By being regular with Mock tests, you will also improve your chances of scoring high in the IBPS PO Exam.

We hope that the aforementioned tips will help you prepare better for the IBPS PO Exam and you will be able to crack the highly-anticipated test sooner than later.
