SSC (Staff Selection Commission) has recently announced that the board has decided to fill 4726 vacancies through CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Exam) for 2020. Interested candidates who wish to be a part of the SSC board can fill up the online application form starting 15th December 2020. The last date for making the challan payment of examination fee is 21st December 2020. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is scheduled to be held between 12th April and 27th April 2021.
The application forms have been made available on the official SSC portal. SSC has hired a number of candidates through CHSL exam in the past few years. In 2019 the CHSL exam was conducted to hire 4893 candidates. In 2018, 5789 vacancies were filled and in 2017, 5874 vacancies in SSC were filled.
SSC conducts examination every year to hire potential candidates for varied posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts in various ministries, departments and organisations. For the 2020 recruitment drive, the total candidates to be hired are 4726 which are bifurcated into 1538 posts of Lower Division Clerk, 3181 vacancies for Postal Assistant, and 7 vacancies for Data Entry Operator posts.
For the post of LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO, candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university.
For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Controller and Auditor General of India (CAG), a candidate must have passed class 12th in Science stream with mathematics as the major subject, from any recognized board or university.
