The Indian Navy has released an employment notification, inviting eligible unmarried male and female candidates to apply for the SSC (Short Service Commission) Officer posts. Recruitment drives by the Indian Navy are considered to be one of the most reputed ones. The SSC Officer course is set to commence from June 2021 onwards at the Indian Naval Academy in Kerala, for several branches. Candidates who wish to be a part of the Indian Navy can apply for the recruitment drive 2020 from the official portal-joinindiannavy.gov.in. The online application window is open between 18th December 2020 to 31srt December 2020.
The recruiting authority of the Indian Navy will shortlist the candidates for the SSC 2021 course based on the qualifying marks obtained by the candidates in their respective degrees along with certain benchmark of preference of entries. The criteria for normalising the marks obtained in respective degrees will be based on certain formulae as specified on the portal of the Indian Navy.

- Age Limit:
SSC Observer and SSC Pilot: Candidates should have been born between 02-07-1997 to 01-07-2002
SSC Education: Candidates should have been born between 02-07-1996 to 01-07-2000
- Educational Qualification:
- SSC General Service: B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.
- SSC Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC): B.Tech with minimum 60% marks in Mechanical/Mechanical with Automation/Electrical/Electrical and Electronics /Electronics/Micro Electronics/Instrumentation/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Tele Communication/ Instrumentation & Control/Control Engineering/Production/Industrial Production/Industrial Engineering/Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Instrumentation/Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computer Application/Metallurgy/ Metallurgical/Chemical/Material Science/Aero Space/Aeronautical Engineering OR must have a post-graduation degree in Electronics/Physics.
- SSC Observer: B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
