The candidate having the following minimum Educational Qualification are eligible for appearing in STET.
Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming a Primary Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage). Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed). OR Senior Secondary ( or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State), and passed in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education). |

The selection procedure for the Sikkim TET exam is conducted through 1 phase.

Sikkim TET Exam Exam Pattern
The pattern of Examination- STET questions will be of objective type. (Multiple Choice Question) There will be no negative marking. No. of MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) =150. All are compulsory. The duration of the examination will be 2:30 hrs.
