CBSE CTET Exam Overview
Central Teacher Eligibility Test is popularly known as CTET. The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) organizes the Central Teacher Eligibility Test twice every year at the national level. Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the CTET exam with a mission to recruit candidates for appointment as teachers in Classes 1-8. The CDS exam is taken twice a year, which is called Paper I and Paper II examination. Candidates who are interested in teaching from class 1 to 5 need to give Paper-I and those who are interested in teaching from class 6 to 8 need to take Paper-II. Those who are interested in teaching Class 1 to 8 give both papers.
The notification of the CTET exam 2020 was released on 23 January 2020 and according to that the examination was to be held on 5 July but due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the examinations have been postponed for now. CBSE will release the exam date very soon as per the latest update.
