APPSC Group-I Exam Eligibility

He/ She is a citizen of India:
Provided that no candidate other than a citizen of India may be appointed except with the previous sanction of the State Government and except in accordance with such conditions and restrictions as they may be laid down. Such sanction shall be not be accorded unless the State Government is satisfied that a sufficient number of citizens of India, who are qualified and suitable are not available.

Deputy Supdt. of Police (Civil) Cat-2 in A.P. Police Service | 21–28 | He holds a bachelor’s Degree from any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act or a State Act or of an Institution recognized by the UGC or equivalent qualification |
Deputy Supdt. of Jails (MEN) in A.P. Jail Service | 18–28 | Must possess a Degree of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, or State Act, or other recognized equivalent qualifications. |
District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service | 21–26 | He holds a Degree of Engineering (Fire) from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualifications. APPSC Group-I Exam Selection Process
PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:
1) The candidates must appear in all the papers of the Screening Test. Absence in any of the papers will render him/her liable for disqualification.
2) The selection of candidates for appointment to the posts shall be based on the merit in the
Main Written Examination (Conventional) followed by an oral test (Interview).
3) Appearance in all the papers of Main Written Examination (Conventional Type), as well as an interview, is compulsory. Absence in any of the papers will automatically render the disqualification of the candidature.
