OPSC Judicial Service Recruitment Selection Process
Selection of the candidates will be based on below few steps.
- Preliminary Exam: It is a kind of screening test. The exam is conducted in an offline or online format. All the questions of the preliminary exam are objective type. The preliminary exam consists of a single paper, which is further divided into 10 subtopics. The total marks of the exam is 100 marks and it must be conducted in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Mains Exam: The candidates clearing the preliminary exam are selected for the main exam. The main exam has 2 compulsory papers and 3 optional papers. All the questions in the main exam are descriptive type. The first two papers are General English and Procedural Law. The other three papers are to be selected from 5 subjects. All the papers carry 150 marks each, totaling 750 marks. Each paper is of 1 hour and 30 minutes duration.
- Interview: The final stage of the Odisha Judicial services selection process is the interview process where the candidates may face questions based upon the syllabus of mains exams. The interview is conducted for the total marks of 100. The interview may also cover questions related to national and international issues, and other such questions that check the candidates' presence of mind.
