Union Bank of India (UBI) was commenced its operations on 11th November 1919 as a limited company in Mumbai. In the year of independence, 1947, UBI only had four branches, three in Mumbai and one in Saurashtra. After Independence UBI picked up its growth phase and was nationalized in the year 1969. Union Bank Exam Dates

Since recruitment to Union Bank also takes place through IBPS (Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection) and the important dates are as follows:

  1. The PO Prelims Exam is scheduled to take place on 3rd, 10th and 11th Oct 2020 and the Mains exam is scheduled to be conducted on 28th November 2020. The online application process for the same will begin from 5th August 2020.

  2. The SO Exam date is yet to be released and the online application process will also be notified soon.

Union Bank Exams Eligibility Criteria

    1. Age: The age limit for various officer cadre differs under the post of SO. The minimum age limit of the candidate who can apply for SO exam is 24 years and the maximum age is 40 years. Age relaxation is also offered for various reserved categories.

    2. Nationality: Candidate should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal and Bhutan, in order to be eligible to sit for the SO exam.

 

  • Educational Qualification: The minimum education qualification required for a candidate is the graduation degree from any recognized university or institution. For certain posts, a post-graduate degree/MBA/PGDM, is also required.

 

 

Union Bank Exam Pattern

The exam pattern gives a complete idea on the exam based on the expectation level of the candidates. The Exam Pattern gives detailed information regarding the question set, topics and marking scheme of the exam.  The Union Bank SO selection process consists of the following two stages:

  1. Online Examination

  2. Personal Interview

The SO online examination comprises of four sections that are Reasoning, Qualitative Aptitude, Professional Knowledge related to the respective post applied for. The SO exam has a total of 200 questions of total 200 marks each and the duration available with the candidates is 120 minutes. For every wrong answer attempted, there will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark.
