PPSC Overview
The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) was formerly known as the Joint Public Service Commission. PPSC is a government agency and one of the most important constitutional body of the Government of Punjab. It is mainly responsible for conducting various competitive and civil services examinations, to recruit candidates to different departments and posts, under the jurisdiction of Punjab. PPSC conducts various examinations for the recruitment of the most deserving, eligible and potential candidates for State Services and for other administrative services.
Exams Conducted by PPSC
PPSC conducts State Service Examination which comprises of two stages namely, Prelims and Mains. The first stage which is the Prelims stage includes an exam with Multiple Choice Questions and the second stage which is the Mains Exam stage involves a descriptive test. Candidates who shall be successful in qualifying the Mains exam are called for an interview round.
The State Service Examination is for various posts under different departments and administrative fields.
PPSC Exams Calendar
The PPSC Exam dates for the 2020 recruitment are released in the PPSC calendar 2020. A notification was released in April 2020, on the official portal of PPSC with details of all the important dates regarding various banking examinations. Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has recently announced the application for the post of Block Primary Education Officer (BPEO), Principal and Head Mistress/Head Master for several Departments of Punjab.
The exam is scheduled to be held on 6th December 2020 and the online application process for the same will begin from 23rd October 2020 to 2nd November 2020.
