Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Overview

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is a railway zone in India with its headquarters in Maligaon, Guwahati. Its major role is to manage the rail operations of the Indian railways. There are total 18 railway zones in the country. NFR has Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) that hires candidates for the post of Apprentices. NFR Recruitment Eligibility

The eligibility criteria are specified in the recruitment notification for the candidates who are willing to work for the post of apprentices.

1. Age: The minimum and maximum age limit of the candidates is 15 years and 24 years, respectively.

2. Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed class 10th or 12th with minimum 50% marks from any recognized board OR the candidate must possess a National Trade Certificate (ITI) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.

NFR Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the post of apprentices will be done on the basis of a merit list prepared based on the marks obtained in class 10th and ITI grades. After the final merit list is prepared, the candidates will be called for document verification in various units and workshops.

Interested candidates can apply online through NFR Railway RRC official website-www.indgovtjobs.in. Candidates should be in possession of Aadhaar Card. At the time of registration, candidates have to fill 12 digits Aadhaar Card number.

• Candidates should ensure that their name, father’s name, date of birth should exactly be the same as mentioned in their matriculation certificate.

• Candidates are required to upload a colour photograph and signature as prescribed and also upload scanned copies of the requisite documents.
