NABARD Overview

National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is the apex financial institution in India that is responsible for catering to the finance and credit needs of the people, especially the rural population. A large proportion of the rural population is dependent on agriculture as a major source of economic activity. NABARD is one of the most popular banks of the country and is completely owned by the Government of India.

NABARD Exam Dates

The important dates for various NABARD examinations are as follows:

 

  1. The NABARD Grade A Prelims exam for Assistant Manager post was conducted on 25th February 2020.

  2. The NABARD Grade A Mains Exam for recruitment to Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS)/ Rajbhasha/Legal, is scheduled to be held on 24th September 2020.

  3. The NABARD Grade A interview phase for recruitment to Protocol and Security Service is scheduled for March 2020.

  4. The NABARD Grade B exam is scheduled to be held in July 2020.

  5. The NABARD Office Attendant exam was held on 14th March 2020.

NABARD Exams Eligibility

It is very important to check for the eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. A candidate should be aware of whether he or she does fall under the eligible category so that the application has no chance of getting rejected afterwards. The major areas for eligibility are age, nationality and educational qualification.

  • Age:

The minimum age specified for Manager (Grade B) has been lowered to 21 years from 25 years. Hence, a candidate must be between 21 – 35 years as on January 30, 2016, to be eligible to apply for grade B positions. The age limit for Assistant Manager (Grade A) is 21 – 30 years.

  • Educational Qualification:

The requirements for educational qualification include a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% aggregate marks OR Master`s degree) with minimum of 55% marks.

  • Nationality:

Candidate should be a citizen of India in order to be eligible to sit for the exams.
