BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is a government-regulated telecom organization and is also India’s largest telecommunication Corporation in India. BSNL has its presence in both rural and urban areas and is one of the most used telecom networks in India. BSNL Exam Calendar

BSNL releases the recruitment notification on its official portal every year to inform the candidates about the exam date, vacancies for different posts and other technical details about the exam. The exam dates as specified in the notification are subject to changes, hence candidates should keep checking the portal to get the latest updates.

BSNL Exam Dates

The important dates related to BSNL recruitment are specified in the notification. 

• The online application date for BSNL recruitment 2020 for Junior Engineer was between 10th July 2020 to 10th August 2020.

• The online application date for BSNL recruitment 2020 for Junior Telecom Officer is 10th September 2020.

• The exam for Junior Engineer 2020 is scheduled to be held in September 2020.

• For 2021 recruitment exam the online application submission shall start from December 2020.

Vacancies for BSNL Exams

The vacancies are decided by the regulatory authority based on the number of posts required for each cadre. For 2020 recruitment, BSNL had announced the following number of vacancies:

• Total vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer-2700

• Total vacancies for the post of Junior Telecom Officer-2510

• Total vacancies for the post of Management Trainee-4000.

BSNL Exams Eligibility

All candidates should check whether they fall under the eligibility criteria so that the application has no chance of getting rejected afterwards. The eligibility criteria are specified with respect to age, nationality and educational qualification.

1. Age: The minimum and maximum age of the candidates should be 18 years and 55 years, respectively.

2. Nationality: Candidate should be a citizen of India, in order to be eligible to sit for the exams.

3. Educational Qualification: Candidate must have completed 10+2 or other equivalent diploma degrees in any of the fields like telecommunication/electrical/electronics/computer/radio/information technology/instrumentation from any recognized university or institution.

BSNL Exam Pattern

Candidates should always check the exam pattern before beginning the preparations as it gives a clear idea about the subjects, types of questions and the weightage of each subject. For selecting the candidates for the post of JE and JTO, written online examination and interview are conducted to select the candidates.

1. The exam pattern for the post of Junior Engineer consists of 200 objective type questions and the time allowed is 2 hours.

2. The exam pattern for the post of Management Trainee comprises of an objective test of 450 marks and the time allowed is 3 hours.

3. There is also a scheme of negative marking and one-fourth marks are deducted for each wrong answer attempted by the candidate.
