SSC GD Constable Eligibility
Eligibility is one of the most important factors that every candidate must cross-check before applying. The SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria comprise various important components as mentioned below.
1. Age Limit 2022
- Minimum - 18 years
- Maximum - 23 years
Note:
The candidates must note that - It has been decided by the Government to grant three (03) years age relaxation in the upper age limit due to the covid pandemic.
Age Relaxation
Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.)are eligible for age relaxation. Refer to the below table for more details about it. Know about the age relaxation for various categories

2. Education Qualification (As on 1st January 2023) & Nationality

SSC GD Constable Selection Process
The SSC GD Constable selection process includes 3 stages-
- Computer-Based Exam (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME)
SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern

- The Computer Based Exam will consist of four different subjects. (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi)
- There will be 80 questions in the exam of Objective Multiple Choice Type.
- Each question will carry +2 mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 mark for each wrong answer.
- The exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages.
The pattern for the physical efficiency test shall be as follows:
