In an affidavit filed before Delhi High Court, the Delhi University (DU) has said that it will conduct the final-year exams for UG and PG courses in OBE mode from August 17.
Exams will be conducted for the final semester/term/year students of all Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, including the School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB).
The affidavit further read that the exams will be concluded by September 8, and the students who are unable to take the OBE will later be provided with a chance in an offline, online, or blended mode as a one-time measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first phase of the mock test before the OBE will start from July 31 to facilitate students in becoming familiar with the procedures of OBE, which is to be conducted remotely and will continue till August 4. There shall be three sessions of mock tests per day, the affidavit read.
The schedule will be released at least one week before the commencement of the mock tests. After a gap of three days, the mock test will again start from August 8 and will continue till August 12. Also, the session wise schedule will be notified at least one week before the commencement of the mock tests, that is, on or before August 1.
The "second phase of mock tests" shall be based on the real-time and single paper of each program for the final semester/year of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the current batch. There shall be three sessions of mock tests per day, the affidavit stated. Contrary to this, the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on July 11, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking the cancellation of final year exams of the Delhi University and other Central universities.
