Delhi University Extends Last Date For Submitting Admission Applications

The Delhi University has extended the last date for students seeking admission to various UG and PG courses. Earlier, registrations were supposed to conclude on July 4. But now, the students can submit their applications till July 18, 2020.
According to the university, the last date has been extended keeping in mind the declaration of CBSE results for Class 12 on July 15. Besides, the university has already received as many as 3,25,946 registrations for undergraduate courses, while for PG courses, around 1,28,833 students are said to have registered. Lastly, as for the PhD and MPhil courses, 22,701 candidates have applied.
"Despite the pandemic situation (caused) due to the COVID-19, the university has received a tremendous response. The decision of extension of the registration has been taken keeping in view of the notification of the declaration of the class 12 result by CBSE and postponement of the JEE and NEET examination", read the official statement.
For merit-based admissions, students from the unreserved category have to pay a fee of ₹ 250, while the fee for candidates belonging to reserved categories is Rs 100. Students applying via ECA and Sports quota will be charged an additional ₹ 100. Moreover, as for the entrance exam based admissions, ₹ 750 will be charged from unreserved students. The reserved category students, on the other hand, are required to pay ₹ 300.
