IRDA Exam Overview
The IRDA or the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority was brought to existence in 2000 in August. The motive for establishing this authority was to enhance the Insurance sector and provide financial assistance to the Indian household. The supervisory body governs all the insurance companies in India, involving Life insurance companies and public insurance companies.
The IRDA exam is organized to recruit insurance agents for numerous insurance companies, known as Insurance Agent Exam or IC-38 Exam. Qualifying for this will approve an individual with an insurance license, valid for three years. The candidate needs to bear a 25-hour physical training to extend it again after post expiry. It is regulated via three stages, namely prelims, mains, and interview phases for the posts of a LIC agent, namely, Manager, Assistant Manager, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Deputy General Manager. However, there is no designated date or place for this Exam. It only occurs when a set of applicants are prepared to sit for the Exam, and the authoritative body will regulate it accordingly.
