UPSC EPFO 2023 Exam Pattern
The UPSC EPFO exam pattern consists of two stages:
- Recruitment Test (RT): The RT is an offline written examination consisting of objective-type questions. The test is divided into two papers, each of 100 marks, and of 2 hours duration. The two papers are:
a. Paper I - General English: This paper tests the candidate's proficiency in English language and consists of 100 questions.
b. Paper-II - General Studies, Accounting & Finance: This paper tests the candidate's knowledge in general studies, accounting, and finance, and consists of 100 questions.
Both papers are of equal weightage, and negative marking of 1/3 marks is applicable for each wrong answer.
- Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Recruitment Test are called for an interview, which carries 100 marks. The interview assesses the candidate's personality, communication skills, and overall suitability for the job.
The final merit list is prepared based on the candidate's performance in both the Recruitment Test and Interview, with a weightage of 75% and 25%, respectively.
