SSC MTS Nationality Criteria
Candidates satisfying the eligibility of the following conditions are eligible for SSC MTS:
- Must be a citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal/ Bhutan
- Migrated Indian origin person from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Burma, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire.
- A Tibetan refugee who came here before 1st January 1962 with an intention to settle permanently.
SSC MTS Age limit (As on 01.01.2022)
- The candidates should be aged between 18-25 years (i.e. born before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS in CBN (Department of Revenue).
- The candidates should be aged between 18-27 years (i.e. born before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for a few posts of MTS in CBIC (Department of Revenue).
The upper age will be relaxable for different categories which are mentioned below.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification (as on 30. 04. 2022)
The candidates who wish to be a part of the SSC MTS Examination 2022 must have a minimum educational qualification.
- They must have passed the matriculation (Class 10th) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
SSC MTS Selection Process
The candidates must have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria and pass the examination to qualify
The SSC MTS exam consists of a written test which includes two papers
- Paper-I (Computer Based Test)
- Paper-II (Descriptive Test).
Those candidates who have qualified in Paper-I will be then shortlisted for Paper-II.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern
Candidates before starting to prepare for the exam must be well aware of the SSC MTS Exam Pattern. The SSC MTS Exam Pattern for all stages is mentioned below in the article.
SSC MTS Paper-I Computer Based Test
Paper 1 consists of 4 subjects namely- General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness. Each subject carries separate marks, have a look at the table below for clear understanding.
- The Paper-I will be an objective type test including 100 questions which will be of 100 marks in total.
- Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

SSC MTS Paper-II Descriptive Type Test
In this paper, the candidates will have to write an essay or letter. Only 2 question will be asked for 50 marks.
