Tier IV consists of Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
SSC CGL Selection Process
A particular pattern is followed to recruit the final list of candidates at Group B and C posts.

Interested ones need to complete their online application process with fee payment.

The ones with successful registration, are eligible to have their call letters for the online Tier I exam on the given date.

The candidates then appear for the Tier I objective-based test, and qualified ones are directed to the next phase.

The aspirants who successfully clear Tier I, download their Tier II admits on the scheduled date and appear for the test.

Again, successful ones from Tier II, need to appear for the Tier III exam, which is conducted in pen and paper mode (descriptive test).

Those who clear the tier III exam are called for the final Tier to test their computer deficiencies. However, the marks scored in Tier IV doesn't count in the final process.

To select the final list of candidates for various posts, you der Group B and C, the scores of the first three tiers are calculated.

Yes, there is negative marking for each wrong answer in SSC CGL entrance. For every wrong answer, the candidates are penalized with 0.50 marks.
How many attempts can one make to give the SSC CGL EXAM?
There isn't any restriction on the maximum attempts one is eligible to make. As long as their age fits the primary guidelines prescribed by SSC, they can apply for the CGL entrance.
What is the number of vacancies for SSC CGL 2020?
As per the updates notified from SSC, the CGL entrance 2020 will be conducted to fill a total of 8582 seats.
