SBI Clerk Syllabus

The Prelims of SBI CLERK exam is based on English, numeric, and reasoning. On the other hand, mains include general English, general knowledge, logical reasoning, and computer efficiency. The applicants need to follow up on everything in detail to come out with flying colors both at the prelims and mains of the SBI CLERK exam. Numerical efficiency

Profit and loss, Simplification, mixture, interest rates, surds, work and time, time and distance, data interpretation, number systems, mensuration: cylinder, cone, and sphere, ratio, percentage, sequence, permutations and combination, probability

English Language

Comprehension, jumbling of paragraph, miscellaneous, fill-ups, detection of errors, completing a paragraph.

Simplification, number series, data sufficiency and interpretation, quadratic equation, time and distance, profit-loss and partnership, simple and compound interest, ratio, proportion and mixture, percentage and average

General English

Comprehension with synonyms and Antonyms, rearrangement of sentences and jumbling up of paragraphs, editing sentences, correcting spellings, fillers. 

General Knowledge

Current awareness related to banking and finance, schemes of sports and banks, awards, etc., general knowledge like currencies, countries and capitals, insurance sectors, nuclear and thermal stations, dance forms, ministers, financial and banking details. 

Reasoning

Internet, coding and decoding, ranking, inequalities, blood relation, syllogism, direction sense. 

Computer Aptitude 

Basics, hardware, and software, generations, database, devices, networking, MS office, abbreviations

 

 

SBI Clerk Selection Process

The SBI CLERK exam is conducted through two stages, prelims and mains. The selection is made based on the aspirant's score in the mains exam. A candidate is eligible to apply only from one state. 

  • Successfully registered candidates are given the opportunity to sit for the prelims.

  • The shortlisted candidates are directed to the mains exam. 

  • Selection is made once a candidate cracks the mains. Though, he or she needs to crack A further language test to be eligible for joining.
